ARTIST STATEMENT:

“I am a multimedia artist who seeks the magical moment when the painting begins to take form and I am moved to follow.  My choices of medium, color, and surface are intentional, but I hold no preconceived ideas or drawings for my works.  Similarly, I often leave my paintings untitled so that the viewer can perceive them through their own life experiences. 

 I am devoted to lifelong interdisciplinary learning, and I continually open myself to the influences of diverse artists, writers, and poets. Fundamentally, I work to create art that proceeds from and connects with the most powerful human emotions.  Although my art inclines toward abstract impressionism, my primary goal is experimentation that blends self-expression with a sense of surrender to the creative process.”
