Carter Cowboy Cyclist comes out of the extraordinary bicycle craze that swept Europe and America during the 1890s. Improvements in bicycle design made riding increasingly affordable, practical, and fashionable, and the bicycle quickly became a symbol of mobility and personal freedom.
