We’re excited to introduce new work by Stuart A. Ashman, the newest artist to join the Hemmings Gallery roster. Based in Santa Fe, Ashman is a sculptor and monotype printmaker whose work grows out of a lifetime spent making, curating, and championing folk, outsider, and self-taught art, with deep ties to New Mexico and Cuba.

The Hemmings Aurobora Collection
Founded in San Francisco in the early 1990s, Aurobora Press was an invitational workshop devoted to the monotype, bringing painters, sculptors, and other artists into the print studio to create unique works rather than editions. The Hemmings Aurobora Collection brings together nearly 200 of these works by more than 30 artists; the selection below offers a rotating view into this remarkable body of work.
